Walk 4 Justice
Walk 4 Justice is a group of Indigenous women and men that left Vancouver on June 21, 2008 and marched to Ottawa on September 15 to demand an end to violence against Indigenous women. Amnesty International members attended the send-off from Toronto on September 2 in support of the walkers.
Young Indigenous women in Canada are five times more likely to die from violence than non-Indigenous young women according to Candian government statistics. It is time to end this ongoing and frequently ignored violence.
