Amnesty International's Action Network on Women's Human Rights (ANWHR) is a network of people interested in learning more about and taking action on women's human rights.
Members of ANWHR take part in campaigns and actions that focus on gender-specific human rights abuses. They work within Amnesty International Canada to connect women's issues with ongoing human rights work.
All members of ANWHR receive a newsletter by mail three to four times per year, which contains information on women's rights, network activities, United Nations and government actions, new resources, and appeal cases focusing on women and girl-children. Through the newsletter, members are encouraged to write letters or take other action on behalf of women whose human rights have been violated.
In Toronto, members of ANWHR meet monthly to take action on women's human rights and to plan events and activities to promote women's human rights.
